Fly Fishing and Lake Fishing

There are a variety of waters to choose from. Both floating and wading trips are available throughout most of the year.

Our main focus is on the "Big Water" of the Kootenai where you will spend the day Fly Fishing and floating with expert guides that have spent many years on this water. Native Columbia Redband Rainbow and Westslope Cutthroat Trout are our primary targets in this river.

A typical day on the Kootenai can be 9 to 10 hours with start times varying as the season progresses. The main river is primarily an evening fishery especially during the summer when we may be on the water till at least 10 pm. During those periods you might start at noon or 1 pm. Earlier and later in the season we adjust times accordingly.

Lake and River Kayaking

A Sea kayak or touring kayak is a kayak developed for the sport of paddling on open waters of lakes, bays, and the ocean. Sea kayaks are seaworthy small boats with a covered deck and the ability to incorporate a spraydeck. They trade off the extreme maneuverability of whitewater kayaks for cargo capacity, ease of straight-line paddling, and comfort for long journeys.

Sea kayaks are now used around the world for marine journeys from a few hours to many weeks, as they can accommodate one or two (occasionally three) paddlers together with room for camping gear, food, water, and other supplies. The sport of sea kayaking (sometimes called ocean kayaking) combines much of the appeal of hill-walking with a maritime aspect, few access issues and a seemingly unlimited area to enjoy.

Geo Caching

Geo Caching
http://www.geocaching.com/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geocaching

Geocaching is an outdoor treasure-hunting game in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers (called "geocaches" or "caches") anywhere in the world. A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook and "treasure," usually toys or trinkets of little value. Today, well over 800,000 geocaches are registered on various websites devoted to the pastime. Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents, including Antarctica.[1]
